All but two of posters in my collection are screen prints, the exceptions being Ben Howard & Penfold, which are high quality Giclée prints. The biggest ones I have are the Ben Howard and Touche Amore ones which are both 36x24 (3 feet by 2 feet), The Ben Howard poster was formally used in the London Underground to promote his debut album. Every year the Polaris Prize (the Canadian Version of the Mercury Music Prize) shortlists 10 albums for the award, and these 10 albums have posters created. Polaris Prize Posters in my collection include Arcade Fire, Hey Rosetta! and Shad.

Ironically, some of my favorite bands aren’t represented in my collection - The Avett Brothers, Brand New & La Dispute for example - the first two have so many different poster designs it’s hard to pick a favourite and i’ve yet to find a design I like for La Dispute.

LOVE these NHL Winter Classic jerseys. Throwbacks are awesome, the designs back in the 1930’s etc where so much more interesting than the vanilla ones thrown together today. The man in the cowboys hat is Carlos Arredondo. He is an immigrant citizen of the U.S. who lost both of his son’s to war (Alex, in Iraq; Brian, to suicide) and is now a peace activist and speaker. When the explosions happened, you can see that he did not hesitate to run towards the chaos and help, obviously trying to get this poor man out of there and to hold a tourniquet on one of his severed legs. Later, he was being interviewed, visibly shaking from shock and holding an American flag, soaked in the blood of other people. Carlos Arredondo’s selflessness and bravery should be known and applauded.
